We are excited to share the culmination of a year's effort - a SUCCESSFUL CNA PROGRAM at White Pass.
The unique to our area, CNA Certification Program at White Pass, has been a wonderful success! This program was a collaborative effort between the White Pass District, GEAR UP and Arbor Health Hospital, Morton. Our first three students entering the program this winter were: Taylor Barnes, Kyra Bowen and Makayla Karpoak.

A culminating CNA Graduation ceremony was held on May 21 where our CNA candidates, their families, Jr/Sr High School students and GEAR UP regional representatives were in attendance to congratulate these students on their jobs well done. Students were each presented with a Certificate of CNA Training Completion.

These three students effectively demonstrated readiness to become certified CNAs. A proctored CNA EXAM was held the first week of June. The CNA candidates successfully completed the exam and certification through the Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification.

We are thrilled to report that Taylor, Kyra and Makayla have all passed their State CNA exam and are now licensed CNAs! These graduates are now able to enter the work force in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living, group homes, and other home care agencies. This certification can also be used as a steppingstone into nursing or other healthcare professions.
