UPDATE: MESSAGE FROM THE SCHOOL BOARD TO OUR PARENTS AND COMMUNITY
THIS HAS BEEN A WEEK!
The Board wants to appreciate each one of you for working together while school leadership hussled to get a handle on events related to the superintendent position.
In response to the events of this week, the school board has appointed Angela Bowen, our current business manager, to operate as Acting Superintendent during this transition period. As Acting Superintendent, Mrs. Bowen will handle the day-to-day operations of the district. She will also continue to handle the responsibilities of her business manager position.
This appointment is temporary but allows the board to perform an active, thorough search for an Interim Superintendent while maintaining consistency of district operations and mission.
The Board has high regard and confidence in Mrs. Bowen’s ability and capacity to assist our school by “standing in the gap” alongside the Board through this selection process. Please join the Board in professionally supporting her in this multi-function position.
