6/9/2020

Greetings and Salutations,
Congratulations on being a 2020 White Pass High School graduating senior! You have worked hard to maintain your grades despite COVID-19 and all the grief that it has caused. Graduating from high school remains an important milestone in your lives, and the faculty and staff at White Pass High School commend your success. As we wind down this journey and prepare you for the next journey, please keep these dates on
the calendar and share them with your family and friends.

June 18- Baccalaureate at 6 p.m. Onsite/Facebook Live- Family Worship Center
June 19- Senior Breakfast at 9 a.m. Parking Lot- In front of the HS School
July 23- Graduation Practice from 10 to 12 p.m. In Person/Football Field/Mandatory attendance
July 24- Graduation Practice from 10 to 1 p.m. In Person/Football Field/Mandatory attendance
July 25- Outside Graduation at 10 a.m. In Person/Football Field
Although this 2020 graduation year has been unlike any other graduation year in recent memory, your class has maintained its moxie and independence. I applaud your determination to hold on to your traditional graduation ceremony.

This year’s ceremony will be held outside on the HS Football Field on July 25th , at 10:00a.m.

This should place graduation in Phase Four of the governor’s reopening plan. Things can change depending on viral conditions and government directives. We will watch and plan accordingly. The safety and security of our seniors, family, and friends is our top priority. Please watch for more information as we move closer to graduation. Information can be located on our school website- www.whitepass.k12.wa.us and social media accounts.

In closing, congratulations on your 2020 graduation. These last four years have brought ups and downs and terrible sadness. I share your frustration. It was not fair that your class lost out on some of the once-in-a-lifetimes memories that the final year of high school brings. But, please know- the staff, your parents, the community has your back and will always be grateful that you impacted and continue to be a part of our lives.
Now go forward and change the world. The world needs helpers, fixers, leaders, and champions.

The White Pass Class of 2020 is ready to answer the call.

Sincerely,

Mr. Schumaker
White Pass HS Principal
