Hi all.  Here is the current update.  Lewis Co Sheriffs came by to tell us the fire at the moment has held steady with no further movement toward Packwood.  They are currently bulldozing around Timberline and it is working to keep the fire away from structures.  As of yet, no structures are damaged.

Evacuees have trickled into the school.  Probably around 50 people are here between 3 different agencies and the evacuees.  Word from Fire personnel in Packwood is that as night falls and people can see the flames, there will likely be a lot more coming to the school.  Also, tonight and tomorrow 30-60 mile and hour winds are scheduled to pick up and everything can go bad quickly so we are prepared for a lot of people potentially.

Nija, from Lewis County health and safety resources, is in charge here at school.  Red Cross, Fire chaplains, the Sherriff's Dept, and Fema are supporting.

Dawn, the White Pass Food Services Director made food and got initial snacks and dinner made along with coffee and water.  The salvation army is on its way with its own food setup.  They may access the elementary kitchen if necessary.  They have breakfast and meals planned for tomorrow.

Joe Greenwood is spending the night to be our facilities man.  Nija's crew and the Red Cross will be here alnight as well.  Nija plans to update us at about 9 pm with how many people are here and if she needs extra support.  She also plans to do the same at about 7 am tomorrow.

There are many thanks owed to many people already and will be more to come as this progresses.  In the meantime, we appreciate all of the support and help.
