Fall Sports Practice Schedule

February 9, 2021

Dear MWP Parents, Family, & Fans,

As many of you are aware, we are at the beginning of WIAA season number one which includes high school and junior high football, volleyball, and cross country. It is far from a traditional start to a sport season, but we are excited to support our athletes as we begin this journey. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for all participants, officials, and spectators. In order to accomplish this we are committed to following all state, county, and league guidelines.

At the current time we are limited to 200 people at outdoor athletic events which includes all players, coaches, game workers, and spectators. Additionally for indoor events we are allowed to have only 25 percent of gym capacity. The impact of this is that we are required to provide limited access to all of our contests. Spectators are allowed only to attend home events. No visiting team fans are allowed at this time.

In order to provide parents and family members an opportunity to attend, we will be providing each athlete with a limited number of tickets a day or two prior to each contest.  Tickets will be valid only for a single contest. Those in attendance will be required to do a temperature check at the gate as well as a COVID attestation. Players are encouraged to share any unused tickets with other interested community members. All spectators, participants, and officials are required to wear masks while in attendance.

We are hoping to provide access to games by providing a combination of video recordings of home contests and as well as streaming certain contests. More information will be provided as a schedule is developed.

We appreciate your support of all of our athletes. Go Timberwolves!

Sincerely,
